Mark At Home!

When Mark gets home, he is still going to need an adult in the house with him 24/7.  Thought a lot of that will fall on Beverly and Melissa, there is still going to need to be someone pretty regularly during the day that can assist Mark and just be there if he needs help.  We will be putting up a schedule, as soon as we figure this out, and you can help being one of these people during the day.

The family has a computer for working, TIVO, a dog to pet, games to play, kids to hug, and laundry to fold.  (okay you don't have to do laundry) As soon as we understand what this all entails, we'll be in touch and appreciate your help! 

Paving the road to recovery

We can all take heart in knowing that Mark is well on the road back to recovery. But we also know that the road will be long and hard, and sometimes, downright boring. With this in mind, we've taken the liberty to create an Amazon 'Wish List' with items we think might make Mark's recovery a little easier to bear. So if you feel inclined, use the new link 'Gift Ideas for Mark' (in the left hand column) to view the list and send him off a little something keep his spirits lifted.

Gift ideas are not limited to this list of course! You all know Mark and his many interests as well as us. Please feel free to come up with your own creative selctions. Also feel free to contact us with more ideas to add to this list. (Note: In terms of books, we are reccomending audio versions for now, until his vision problems improve.)

Helping The Family

The family wants to thank you for all your phone calls and support.  There has been set-up a system for food for the family for the next two months so thank you for wanting to help there.  I think we are in good hands but will certainly post something if more food is needed. 

We are also trying to get Julia and Evan as much time with friends and family.  That happens on a day to day basis to make sure that Beverly (Melissa's mother) gets the rest she needs.  We'll be in touch with people as those needs arise.

Really the best thing to do is your donation to the Mark Mclane Recovery Fund and post your comments to Mark and continue to send your positive energy his way.  That energy has been felt and has truly helped in his recovery.
